Shanghai joined UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in 2010 and was named "City of Design". Hosted by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, the first World Design Cities Conference (WDCC) will be held at Huangpu Riverside from September 15 to 18, 2022.
